What we collect

• Your account details, and the essays, drafts, and feedback you save in your account.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google account email and name. We never see your Google password.
• Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, kept briefly for security.

What we do with it

We send essay text to a third-party language model provider to generate the read, under terms that do not allow training on it. We store reads so you can see your drafts move. We do not sell data, do not run advertising, and do not use your essays to train anything.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, our database provider, our model provider, and our payment provider, each only for the part of the service they run. No one else, unless the law requires it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Deleting your data

Email youredit.email@gmail.com from your account address and we delete your account, essays, and reads within thirty days.

Children

TheirDesk is for students applying to college, most of whom are seventeen or eighteen. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under thirteen.
